Lead Tom Davis "King of the Ducks"
Description
"This life-size decorative decoy of the Canvasback Drake is hand-carved out of tupelo wood, with lifelike detailed feathering, and hand-painted using oils." Tupelo Wood and Oils. 6.5H x 13W. Tom Davis is a retired minister who recently moved to Manhattan, Kansas. In the 1980s, he was introduced to wildlife art and decorative decoys that migrate down the five flyways. The central flyway is important for migrating waterfowl that come to the Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge for a winter resting spot. Since retiring, he has become more involved with studying the wildlife that makes the Flint Hills their habitat. Tom hopes that his artwork will bring awareness to the variety of waterfowl the Flint Hills draw.
