Lead Butterfly
Description
Sally Forth by Kathleen Ewing-Fowler Small Butterfly - 35” H, 45” Wingspan “An image online of a real butterfly was my inspiration. I was looking for color on color and a mainstay of blues, violets and pinks.” Why FLIGHT? “I have over the course of five years submitted. I hope to see ART promoted since it is my occupation and highly underfunded. ART needs to be appreciated as fundamental toll learning.” Kathleen creates organically and expressive abstract art methodically with mixed media and professional archival material. Her work is intuitively manufactured using classical methods learned from local art instruction in a terrific contemporary environment. Glazing, colorist work and geometrical shapes serve to start the visual conversation in inventive nonrepresentational fashion. Kathleen is a communications major, writer, and former longtime business owner; mother of three grandmother of six and friend of the community. Her art has also garnered awards, further commissions and a collective patronage nationwide.
