Description	Studio Movie Poster Online Auction Auction Date: Friday, April 20, 2018 Time: Begins online at www.cosensauctions.com, sharp at 6pm This rare collection of Official Studio movie posters were never for sale and only distributed to the trade. In some cases, these posters are one-of-a-kind and all very hard to find. From two sources: Lots 1 thru 64 are coming from an old shut-down Movie theatre with the posters running in the 1980's and 90's. All Guaranteed original. Theatre posters from this era are easy to identify as original when the back side of the poster is a negative image of the front. This is so the posters can be installed into a back-lit shadow box display. Most movie posters with a white back did not come from a theatre. Independent movie posters can be an exception. These posters have been handled by theatre staff and often have pin holes in the corners. Maybe a frayed edge. This is damage that will NOT be identified. Any outstanding or bad damage will be identified if thought to be beyond normal wear-and-tear. Lots 65 thru 131 are Promotional movie posters from a Movie Rental Store operating in the 1980's into the 2000's. That was pretty much the end of the era for video rentals! Like the Theatre posters, Rental Store posters were sent by the Studios to promote the films of the day. In many cases the rentals came out many years after the release of the film. Once again, these are all originals, one-of-a-kind and hard to find. All of the posters in this consignment have been preserved in dry lamination. This has kept the posters in excellent condition. Auction Terms & Conditions The highest bidder shall be the purchaser. In case of dispute between bidders, the property shall be immediately put up again. The Auctioneer has the final say. No person shall retract their bid. All property is sold "AS IS", and ALL SALES ARE FINAL. The Bidder may not return any item they purchase. Property is open to thorough public inspection. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine the condition, age, authenticity, value and any other relevant information of an item. The Bidder shall be the sole judge of value. The description and information respecting the property or advertisements for sale are believed to be correct but if any error be found therein it shall not annul the sale, nor shall any compensation be allowed in respect thereof. The Bidder acknowledges and understands that the Online Auction service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction. Under no circumstances shall the Bidder have any kind of claim against Cosens Auctions, HiBid or anyone else if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. Cosens Auctions will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source.
