Description
After 24 years of progressively breeding llamas Pleasure Valley Llamas is holding a retirement sale. We have developed amazing relationships and still plan on remaining involved in the llama community. After farming our entire life we are looking forward to retirement and having the ability to travel. We will still be keeping some of our older animals to retire on the farm and Ryan, Lindsey and the grandkids will also be keeping a few. Our goal is to have a small enough herd that they can stay at Ryan's farm to enable us to take extended trips. Pleasure Valley Llamas has always specialized in Full Chilean llamas focusing on fiber and conformation. We have had some incredible dam lines that still remain prominent in the industry winning Futurities, ILR Nationals and ALSA National shows. With the Chilean borders closing shortly after we became established breeders we focused on having animals that could be used on any farm in the country. We have also always had a strong and diverse stud line up preventing us from having herdsires with 100+ offspring. We critically evaluate our herd and selectively breed to improve conformation and fiber. Our sale on September 17th, 2017 will be the first time that many of these llamas have been offered for sale. It will be an opportunity to purchase some incredible herdsires to cross with any of the popular lines in the industry today. There are animals that have been progressively bred by us for 6 generations winning Championships throughout their pedigree. We will not be offering any of these animals for sale prior to the sale to ensure that you have an opportunity to purchase our best. There will be 8 llamas offered that have placed 1st or 2nd in National Futurities, not to mention the production of prior futurity winners. This is the best and most consistent our herd has been in 24 years. That along with the majority of our herd being young, and in the prime of their careers make the timing for this sale right. We have had 2 excellent years of sales and the llama market is the strongest we have seen it in 10 years. Thank all of you for your support over the years and the incredible friendships that we have built. Sincerely, Larry & Barb Laux and family
